My most recent venture: Doilies!
I don't have a great collection yet, but here are the ones I've completed.
First one: Fail.
See all that ruffling? That wasn't supposed to happen.
Second attempt: Much happier with the end product.
I'm such a fan of the picot edging!
...so I did it again, this time in red, and this time, larger...
In the few months that I have been visiting here I have seen you really grow in your crocheting ability...practice does make perfect..those doilies are perfectly lovely!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! You are doing so fabulous with the doilies, they are definitely a big new skill to learn.
ReplyDeleteThank you, ladies!!
ReplyDeleteThe picot edging does look great. That's a stitch I never really use but I like it.
ReplyDeleteI think I've said it before, but your doilies are beautiful. I like how the picot stitch really dresses up a project, but I sure hate doing it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your site and as I browsed your blog I decided to award you the Creative Blog Award.

Wow! Those are great! I could never make those. ♥ them!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Tea Rose Home!
Wow those are amazing! They're so intricate. I'm so used to working with what seems like "thick" wool for my afghan, I can't imagine working with something so thin! lol
ReplyDeleteLove the crocheted doilies. Great job! Thanks for sharing this at the Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop :)
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Mindy. Love the red one. I love crocheting with thread. It's been a while since I made a doily and you've inspired me to start another one.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Pamela
