Bead Crochet Rope

Have you ever had a, "Wow! I made that?!" moment?

I'm not just talking about when you watch your kids, but I suppose that counts, too.

Here was my excited Wow! moment of today.

I can't believe it worked! Now I have to figure out if I want to attach ribbon for tying it on or use a clasp. Any suggestions? I welcome any input.

  1. That is NEAT! I like the colors.
Thanks for the comment. I think I'm going to try and make a couple of really small stars and starch them. Add a little glitter and fishing line and we've got a garland. I'd love to hear what you come up with!

  2. Thanks!

I love that idea for the stars--it's such a fun and versatile pattern! They'd even be cute as little gift ornaments or something. I can't wait to try it!

  3. I saw a woman wearing a bracelet like that and it looked really hard to make. Great job!

  5. It looks beautiful!! I think the hardest part is the beginning. Maybe you should try a clasp.

  6. You're right--the hardest part was the beginning. Once I got going, there was much more rhythm to it. It was hard to get the hang of it for where the working thread was supposed to go in respect to the previous row's bead. Once I could make better sense of it logically, that's when it started going better and faster.

    Thanks for the advice!
