Confession Time

Life is always busy in the summer, isn't it?! No relaxing yet.

We were gone for a week (last week), and I'm still trying to catch up!

First step I took: I finally threw away that little bottle of Visine from the medicine cabinet that expired in ...mdffmngmgnvffhfhf.

OK, fine...it was 2006.

Sadly, it's probably not the most expired thing in our house. Have you ever cooked with rancid Crisco before realizing it was rancid? *shudder*

Anyway, next step is piling up a (hopefully) HUGE pile of items to get out of our house for a big garage sale in a few weeks.

Your big plans? Your confessions to make me feel better?

  1. The spices in my cabinet are really old. I cant afford to replace them so I keep using them. Everything tastes fine to me :)

Anything in my medicine cabinet is mostly likely expired, with a few exceptions of the things we use up like crazy. That is a project I have been meaning to do :(

  2. I cleaned out my pantry a few months ago, and the oldest thing I threw out was dated 2007. 2007 is when we moved to this house. Heaven only knows what the oldest thing was that I trashed when we were packing to move! We'd been in the previous house for 14 years, so I shudder to think.

You are SO not alone lol!

  3. Well, I have absolutely no excuse for not being more organized...but, I'd rather spend time goofing around with Gizzy or playing on the Internet ... and crochet!

But, as my luck has it, the apartment complex I live in has a big rebuilding scheduled for the fall where all of us tenants have to pack up and get out of our apartments for 2-3 months and this will be my opportunity to go through all my stuff and get rid of things I've not seen for a year or two and start fresh. I might even take that opportunity to move up to Blue Ridge (North Georgia) so I can experience snow in the winter that I miss so much...

Thanks for visiting me and have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!

  4. I tend to keep medication, but I have recently thrown out everything in the cabinet that was no longer needed. there was so much space afterwards!

  5. Hi Mindy..love the baby blanket by the way! Pretty colour blue. I have often thrown away very old medications. I think we use them and then just forget them and they just stay where they're put last! It is good to have a clean out though..all the best with the garage sale..it should be fun.
