Ugly Blanket Progress

One of my favorite projects got some TLC recently:

This picture needed some sort of perspective, but it's too hard to take a picture while laying down next to it. ;-) It's growing and growing! Since it could be done soon, it's time to start laying out the yarn choices for the next one that will be a bit smaller  (more twin-bed size). Can't wait!

  1. I keep toying with the idea about doing this granny square style. I just might get started!!

  2. Lay it out on a bed so we can see the relative size.

  3. It's not ugly, Mindy! It's scrappy!
They're supposed to look like that. ;)

  4. I used to do this...and I would say "however far I get each day is how much I will have to cover up with tonight" This was many many years before internet though and I wasn't spending most of my time in front of the computer.
However, when I lived in my mom's basement a few years ago I did this...not for a blanket but rather I hung it from the ceiling to separate my "bedroom" from my daughters.
I made my mom's unfinished basement into our home without walls.
