I'm forever finding new projects that I want to start or a new method I want to try, but at the same time, I'm a little bit of a perfectionist (hey, friends and family, no comments from the peanut gallery, please!). Leaving something unfinished will start to grate on me.
As we were doing our rearranging and cleaning last week, I unearthed my Jewel Afghan. I'm determined to finish!
A lot of progress was made over the weekend.
Here's the most recent picture.
I really hope it's done soon. I like the way it looks, but I'm not a huge fan of the pattern. It's not mindless enough.
There's another WIP that I'll have to update, then I'll get to fill you in on my big plans for the No-Longer-A-Mystery Stitch! Yay!
I like it! I, too have some wips I need to get cracking on!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I can see though how mindless it is not. The colors are very pretty, what is the name of it?
ReplyDeleteThe color is Red Heart Super Saver in Fiesta Jewel. I've had it for years!
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is Leisure Arts Birthstone Afghans using the July (Ruby) pattern.
The pattern looks really pretty! Guess that's why some work has to go into it right? :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, love the yarn colors!
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is very elegant! Shows off the multicolor yarn nicely. =)
ReplyDeleteHi Mindy..Congratulations you have won 'Island Girl' and 'Scooting 'n' Scarves' cushions from my giveaway! Please email me with your address so I can send them to you asap!
ReplyDeleteps..I love the bold pattern of your newest afghan..it really does the jewel multi colours of the yarn justice.
Oh oh oh!! You know what the mystery stitch is?? Can't wait to find out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty pattern! "Not mindless enough"! I like that, and I completely understand.
