Queen Anne's Lace Scarf

This was a quick and easy little project that finished up an almost-full skein that was leftover from a blanket. I love how it turned out!

It's a soft pink color in I Love This Yarn. I found the pattern here. The yarn was just structured enough to not hide the pretty pattern, but it's soft enough to not give you the 'itchy neck' issues.



Hubby wonders if it's too short to give as a Christmas gift. Should I consider adding a couple motifs to each end in a contrasting color to lengthen it? Or should I just leave it alone and let it be more decorative than practical (as far as wrapping it around the neck)? I welcome your input!

    Hi Mindy, I think it is the right length..I don't like long scarves, tend to get caught up in things..but that is just me and I am a clutz.

    I like it. I wouldn't add anything to it at all. Show off the prettiness. I would say maybe a more decorative scarf, that outside warm cozy scarf.

    I think your scarf is gorgeous! I've always wanted to try this pattern and just haven't, so I'm thinking this Christmas might be the perfect time to try it! (several times, I imagine!).. As for lengthening it?.. It seems to me that this scarf is something I would wear going out for dinner, or a date, or to church on Sunday... If I was looking for warmth, for example, I was going to shovel the driveway, then I wouldn't even reach for this pretty little thing. It's MUCH too pretty for that kind of thing, I would think! So if my opinion accounts for something, I'd say leave just as pretty as it IS!! Nice work!! ~tina
